Gandhi was a human being; therefore, he is no more. He was aware that a time would come when one tenth of people of the world with violent minds would dare to use the globe for fulfilling their selfish desires; and they would be able to do it with willing support from mental violence of many more spread all over the world. This is the reality of what we are facing today. For instance, you may be almost sure that the man, you are interacting with, has his own interests in mind and, therefore, he is going to harm you. Would you unlock your revolver and shoot him? Or, would you tolerate his violence with timidity?
Gandhi intended to provide a ‘tool’ of non-violence to vast majority of people to enable them to fight their own battles against any injustice and violence caused by a few who are powerful and have violent minds.
Gandhi said; Non-violence is a conduct. It attains its full glory when the weak realize their strength and the powerful realize the futility of their strength.
